Compliments to the Chef!

It had been a lazy bank holiday weekend so far, not really doing anything much just keeping my flat warm. It was more of a spur of a moment thing when my dearest friends Jonah and Wendy decided to keep me company after their own weekend at Cheltenham. Jonah, who is also a chef volunteered to make us a nice 3 course gourmet meal, whilst us girls would do some lawnmowing which we didnt get around into doing because of the rain. After a whole afternoon of watching DVDs, Chef Jonah went to work in my kitchen and here I am documenting it for all of you to see and savor.

For starters we had the salad nicoise with tuna. As suggested by the name, it is a specialty of the region of Nice in France and is composed of raw vegetables, new potatoes, hard boiled eggs, tuna, cherry tomatoes and olive oil. Then for our main course: tornado of Scottish salmon with prosciutto and crab meat, served with crushed new potatoes, asparagus and mango salsa. Now this is really inventive. I didnt even want to touch the thing!

    They seem very nice, and the dishes look bombastic! Nothing like good times in good company. Congratulations to the chef! He is an artist.
