    This is… unnatural.

    What exactly is unnatural?

I had no idea Cornell had done a song for Casino Royale. Glad to see you liked it enough to post to your blog. I’ve been a fan of Cornell for years through Soundgarden, solo, and now Audioslave with Audioslave producing some of his best stuff. This sounds a little more pop-oriented than I’m accustomed to, but it’s still good.

Oh dear! Hello hap! First of all thanks for dropping by my site. I’ve been to yours but lurking mostly. Hehe

As for Cornell, yes have been a fan since Soundgarden too but most especially when he went solo, (oh and Audioslave of course) I am sure you have Euphoria Morning? That’s one of my fave albums!

I hope to see more of you here and of course in Filmstalker.

Actually, I don’t have anything he’s done solo now that I look. Not sure how that happened. Good time of year to rectify that, too. ;->

Your site is looking really nice. It’s been a while since I’ve visited, and it looks like you’re posting more and changed the design up a bit. Nice work.

You better get Euphoria Morning – it’s really good! Did you ever listen to Temple of the Dog album? Pearl Jam was there too, and they’re also my favorite band for all time.

Thanks for the compliment. I have had more time to watch films, read books, or visit restaurants recently that I can review so I had been able to update my blog more often. I used to have blogspot address but then I moved to wordpress and just imported everything.

Actually, I have that Temple of the Dog album. Very good…agreed. I used to really enjoy Pearl Jam as well, but these days, I tend to pass it by (not sure why). My favorite band had always been Alice ‘n’ Chains (and to a lesser extent, Jerry Cantrell’s solo stuff). If you don’t like the heavy stuff, the Jar of Flies EP is amazing, but it’s one of those albums you really need to listen to in its entirety, in order. And I hardly ever say that about an album…

Oh, you wont believe what I listen to Hap. Grunge was introduced to me by my sister who is the one really into them but although I love a few artists, I am more into easy listening and classical music – Sinatra, Streisand, opera, that kind of thing. Then every now and then I can listen to some classical rock. I am very tolerant on any type of music though just dont give me rap or heavy metal.

Easy listening? Classical? Cornell? It’s tough to get a read on you, isn’t it? I’m still trying to reconcile a love for Star Wars and little interest in animation. I always thought the two went hand in hand. ;->

Alice ‘n’ Chains would normally be considered heavy metal (I’m guessing), but you’d probably like Jar of Flies since you like Cornell’s solo stuff. If it weren’t for Staley’s voice and the harmonies with Cantrell, you’d never guess it was them. Don’t take the overplayed “Rooster” as your only impression of Cantrell and company. That’s probably one of my least favorite songs yet I still hear it all the time on the radio.

Rap and Metal? I’m mostly with you there, but I do need my Metallica and Ozzy. And, as much as I didn’t want to, I do like Gorillaz and Linkin Park and a few others straddling the rap/rock genre. It took me a while to realize that Linkin Park was the new Faith No More…still one of my favorite groups to listen to while I code.

    Okay, I’ll quit rambling now.

Exactly. When friends come over and browse through my CD collection they are shocked at what they see – complete Pearl Jam albums, Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, Audioslave, and then stacks of Streisand, musicals, and opera. Then there’s my soundtrack collection too – do you have the Singles soundtrack by any chance? I dont even have U2 in my collection and my friends are like, am I insane? Well, it’s not really me (go on Hap, have a loud laugh!).

I am sure my sister has got Cantrell, I remember her talking about him too.

Star Wars and animation. Fair enough, I bought the Clone Wars animation DVDs but have only seen them like 2-3 times, I enjoyed them!

No U2??? No U2???? Sacrilege…oh, hold up…wait a second…nope, no U2 here either. Don’t get me wrong, I like some of their stuff…just not enough to spend money on it, especially not the newer stuff.

Actually, given what my sibling listens to, you seem quite consistent. He’s all over the map. One day he’ll be listening to Rent, the next he might have some country, the next? Who knows…he listens to everything and I do mean everything.

I do have the Singles soundtrack. Lots of interesting stuff there, but I bought it for one song in particular. You Would probably be able to guess which one I Would like most. 🙂

I didn’t realize until just the other day that there were multiple volumes of Clone Wars. I only have the first volume. In my opinion, it’s probably Lucas’ biggest achievement in revisiting the franchise. In case I haven’t let it be known, I’m a fairly big Star Wars fan myself. Lucas’ biggest failure…making Natalie Portman sound like a 5 year old in the school play. That takes some effort.
