Thespians Watch

17 Jan

It all started with my friend Morbius who felt that I was always name dropping the various actors I have seen on stage, I wasnt consciously doing it mind! So in our little discussion group in Facebook a topic has been created as to which actors we have seen on stage and in what other projects we’ve seen them in like film and television. As Feigned Mischief is quickly turning out to be a mini-theatre blog of sorts, it would suit well to discuss it here with you, my fellow theatre fans who might also want to share your list with us.

So here’s the list of actors I have seen on stage so far, with the title of the plays I saw them in then their other projects, films or tv. If it helps then this is the time to take our your theatre programmes and scan through the list!

Why thanks for mentioning that kls010, so I have actually seen Millson before then without even realising it. Do share us your list when you get the chance.

  3. Morbius January 18, 2009 at 9:41 pm #

Just to let you know that (despite numerous film appearances) Colm Meaney is actually best know for his role as Chief O’Brien in Star Trek The Next Generation and Star Trek Deep Space Nine.

    Live Long and Prosper,

    Morbius

A new entry to this list:

    Complicit by Joe Sutton
    Directed by Kevin Spacey

Richard Dreyfuss (Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Goodbye Girl)
David Suchet (Poirot, The Way We Live Now)

They werent in the play but I had a quick chat with Amanda Root, who played my favorite Jane Austen heroine Anne Elliot in Persuasion and I last saw her in The Norman Conquests: Table Manners, also at the Old Vic. Also caught sight of Lesley Manville who was in Pillars of the Community and tv’s North and South.
